A leadership dashboard built on moving data

The problem. A country leadership team tracked meetings, assignments and compliance across a web of linked documents, with no single view.

What I did. I led the build. I sat with the managing director to pin down what she actually needed, then demoed progress back to her as I went. I built it in Cursor with Claude, with company-only Google sign-in and a way to preview the app as each role. The data API it depended on was still being written, so I worked out the field mappings myself. I also mapped the old document system so the move off it could happen piece by piece.

What changed. At the stakeholder demo, she said it was what she'd pictured.

What I'd do differently. I'd pin down the data and the real need before building pages, not alongside them.
